This summer, one of MR’s favourite brands, Meaco have announced their new range of dehumidifiers. A wall mounted dehumidifier, appropriately named the MeacoWall. You can now preorder directly from Meaco’s website (site here). Without being too explicit on it’s official release date, the sales page for the new range does feature a checkbox to suggest you can indeed get it delivered for the 2nd week of August.
As regular followers of MR may have noted. One of the things that we like to look out for in a review of any of our products is the aesthetics. How well is a product going to stand out in a nicely furnished home or place of business? For an example of this, just see our favourite floor standing dehumidifier, the EcoAir DC12.
We’re pleased to say that from the early pictures, this wall mounted dehumidifier looks fantastic. It has the inconspicuousness of a sleek speaker you might see hung on the wall, except instead of a speaker grill, you will find a nice glass finish.
Style clearly looks to have been one of the boxes that Meaco were looking to tick for their wall mounted dehumidifier. This is particularly well welcomed, when you consider some of the atrocities that have come before it. This is certainly the nicest looking wall mounted dehumidifier we have come across. A great innovation on Meaco’s part.
Who is the ‘MeacoWall’ wall mounted dehumidifier for?
This dehumidifier could be put to use in a very large home, but Meaco specifies that this wall mounted dehumidifier is best applied in a large commercial environment. Factories, gyms, swimming pools, data centres, timber storage buildings are just some of the places that Meaco suggests the product will thrive.
Other key details mentioned by Meaco are it’s extraction rate of 18 litres of water per day at 80%RH.
Wall mounting is as simple as fixing the enclosed wall bracket to the wall and attaching the MeacoWall unit. With no electrician expertise required.
